New Year, new animation!

WeGoQuack, practically Mark, WeiChoon, and me get together again to churn ideas for short animation.

So, I get involved in the Backgrounds:

First Draft, This short is suppose to be a long pan, that involve very slow camera movement
So, I played with textures and hues to make it more rich and interesting since its gonna be shown for long. :)

Final Version that ends with a cross section of the toilet bowl.
The hue was changed to suit the first background that I did later.

So, this is the first shot. Added my version of the old metal door. ^^

So now, Await for the animation!

Actually I was planning to do a short animation for Merry Christmas, but whilst trying to find a suitable visual style:

Wei Choon's Birthday

It was quite a surprise that Wei Choon's Birthday falls immediately after the 48 hour challenge, Kudos to that guy, so this is for him:

48 Hour Challenge!!

My dearest friends: Mark, Wei Choon, and me has come together to challenge making an Animated film in 48 hours, with the greatest music help from Ruben.

It was an intensive weekends and it still stays in my mind, so before it got fake away, I've decided to pen it down, and after that finishing it digitally:

So again, the process:

Sneeze loop (Sinus)

Finally, I have decided to do short animation for practices, which is what the whole blog is all about, Animation Jouney.

Indeed animation is such a long process that it consists so much of understanding from drawing to timing, but I'm glad I'm able to finish this and post it up. It has given me great motivation, and I shall continue doing this.

This animation is a very personal experience that I have to face almost every morning, enjoy! (or maybe not):

Just another side note, I was trying to re-create the kind of styles that I used for my figure drawing, still figuring out.

Light and Shadow Discovery

I have just discover something today and it was amazing. How suggestive light and shadow has so much to tell about form and gesture:

This is the final product, something that I wanted to achieve:

Of course, once again, it was a collage of 1-min poses of figure drawing I put together using ps:

I started adding some lights and shadows to suggest form, but I emphasis more on gesture than form, and it was the above end products. However, once I remove the lines, I am pretty impress that I can clearly distinguish each and every figures action, and it was just amazing, almost like optical illusion:

Figure Drawing Backdate

Hasn't it been long since I last updated. I was busy with work (excuses). Here is few figure drawings backdated 2015:
